Wine country Røsnæs

Røsnæs is currently developing into Denmark’s leading wine region, with an annual production of over 60,000 bottles, accounting for approximately 25% of Denmark’s wine production.

Wine can be cultivated here due to a unique southern European climate, especially on the south-facing slopes. Røsnæs enjoys about 100 more hours of sunshine than the national average and approximately 140 mm less rainfall. The chalky slopes, combined with the sun and cool climate, provide an excellent foundation for growing grapes.

The four vineyards — Dyrehøj Vingaard, STUB Vingaard, Barfod Vin, and Røsnæs Vingård — together cultivate and produce wine on about 15 hectares. They offer a wide range of wine varieties, including white, rosé, red, sparkling wine, port wine, and various spirits.

Dyrehøj Vingaard, Denmark’s largest vineyard, offers tours and wine tastings. They also have a shop, wine bar, and café open year-round. STUB Vingaard is open on weekends during the summer season.
