Vågehøj Observation Post and Radar Bunker

Standing 55 meters above sea level, Vågehøj offers views of Fyn, Samsø, Mols, and the pylons of the Great Belt Bridge. It served as a lookout post, and during the Cold War, a radar bunker was built here in 1951, which operated until 1964. Visitors can now explore the bunker as part of the “Røsnæs – A Military Cultural Landscape” exhibition, observing the traffic through the Great Belt from underground.

Parking at Vågehøj lies on the left side just before the forest at the Nature School. Here you can also visit Vinekilde and the viewpoint “Kig-ud”.
