Kig-ud Viewpoint

The unique viewpoint ‘Kig-ud’ is located in one of the most important botanical areas in all of western Zealand, known as a “Botanical Paradise.” On the dry, sunlit slopes, you’ll find interesting plants and flowers with species typically found in the steppes of southern and eastern Europe.

The rare butterfly Fransk bredpande thrives here, and from May to Midsummer, you can enjoy the song of nightingales at ‘Kig-ud’ in the morning and evening.

‘Kig-ud’ is in the same area as Vindekilde and Vågehøj Bunker. Parking is available on the left just before the forest near the Nature School. Follow the field road about 400 meters south, through the gate, and take the path to the right for about 75 meters to reach ‘Kig-ud.’
