Horsedalen
South of Dyrehøj Vineyard is the scenic viewpoint Horsedalen, located on the south-facing slopes with a magnificent view over the fjord. This area has a unique Mediterranean-like climate, found in only a few places in Denmark. The sun-drenched slopes of Horsedalen host rare plants and flowers. The vineyards of Dyrehøj, Denmark’s largest winery, are located here as well. The chalky soil retains water and is ideal for grape growing.
If arriving by car, we recommend parking at Dyrehøj Vineyard and taking a walk through the vineyards to Horsedalen.
